About Us

YOUR Community Board

Your volunteer board of trustees holds monthly meetings at 6:00 pm, the first Thursday of each month, September through June. These people are leaders in YOUR community and give their time generously so we all might all benefit. They attend meetings, encourage membership, host and manage community events, rent the Hall, and keep your donations and membership dollars in good order and according to our bylaws. They also write our quarterly newsletters, update our website, sponsor our social media pages, and manage our 4H club. They also keep the hall in good repair and ensure it is clean and stocked for rentals. Make sure to say thank you to them when you can.

Who are your board of trustees?

Julia Mangan

President

Hello, I am Julia Mangan and presently President of the SRMPA.

My husband Jim and I moved to Cougar Gulch in 1985 after Jim retired from the USMC. I was a teacher and track coach before his retirement. I eventually went to nursing school at NIC and worked at Sacred Heart Medical Center as a floor nurse for several different systems. I eventually became a Nurse Practitioner that owned and operated a clinic here in Coeur d’Alene.

My interest are many which include horses, hiking, snow shoeing, reading, cooking, canning, sailing and anything outdoors. I am presently with the parade group “The Divaz”. It’s a marching, choreographed group of women of indiscriminate ages who do community work, dance in parades and have a good time. We have been members of the hall since 1985 and I have enjoyed all of the different families who have been a part of its’ support and upkeep.

Jonelle Greear

Vice President

Hi, I am Jonelle Greear! I am Vice President on the SRMPA (Meadowbrook. Hall) board. I am also a contact person for all things Hall related. My husband Charlie and I have lived off Greenferry Rd. since 1999. Since we are now retired we have more time to be involved in community projects. We treasure our Cougar Gulch neighborhood and neighbors. If you haven’t attended events at the Hall, I encourage you to do so. It is a great way to meet your neighbors! Annual Membership is $25 and supports the cost of maintenance and repairs for the Hall. You don’t have to be a member to come to events, but you can great a great deal to rent the Hall if you are. It is a cozy place for weddings, retirement and birthday parties, or family gatherings. Come check us out!

Diana Nottage

Treasurer

Hello – I am Diana Nottage, Treasurer of the SRMPA (Meadowbrook Hall) board. My husband Mel and I

moved to our current location on Heine Road – we live on the original homestead of the Heine Family.

We built our home in 2008, moving from Fairmont Loop in Coeur d Alene to a more rural setting. Our

family all lives locally – kids, grandkids and great grandkids are our joy.

I became involved with the hall as soon as we moved here. I have loved the community atmosphere of

Cougar Gulch and have met the nicest people to work and share ideas with.

I currently work as a small business bookkeeper, and I manage Vacation Rentals in the Coeur d Alene

area. I manage the rentals for the hall – love seeing the hall used and see it as a meeting place bringing

families together for special events.

We are fortunate to live in such a wonderful community and the hall presents an opportunity to meet

your neighbors. I love that we can share the hall!

Kathy Cooper

Director

My name is Kathy Cooper, and I am one of the Directors on the Meadowbrook Community Hall Board. I have lived in Cougar Gulch for 28 years with my husband, Phil Cooper, who is a past SRMPA President. Phil and I are empty nesters and have fond memories of raising our three boys in the Cougar Gulch community. I'm retired from 22 years of teaching fifth grade in the Post Falls School District. Since retiring I've been able to travel to India with a small group of folks from Lake City Community Church for a cross-cultural experience where we dedicated well, helped with medical and dental clinics, spent time at an orphanage, widows homes, and leper colony. Travel is something I hope to do more of in the coming years . I also enjoy reading and am a novice quilter.  I enjoy our beautiful community and am happy to serve on the Meadowbrook Community Hall Board in order to assist to keep our community an active, friendly and special place to call home.
